Hi

I need to count the sum of total open issues with a certain severity. I have made the following MDX but I currently only get “0” as a result. I am not sure if I am counting correctly or the my setup is unavailible to show what I suspect.

Can anybody advise me in direction?

MDX

My dimension setup

Hi @KimSe,

This depends on how have you imported the “Severity Occurrence (Number)”.

Is this a custom field imported into eazyBI as a Dimension or as a Measure?

If this is imported as a dimension, then you can create a measure in the Measures dimension with a formula like this:

```mdx
Sum(
  Filter(
    [Severity Occurrence (Number)].[Severity Occurrence (Number)].Members,
    IIF(
      [Severity Occurrence (Number)].Currentmember.Name = "(none)",
      0,
      Cast([Severity Occurrence (Number)].CurrentMember.Name as INTEGER)
    ) > 1
  ),
  [Measures].[Open issues]
)
```

Let me know if this formula works or if it doesn’t, then how exactly are you importing the “Severity Occurrence (Number)” into eazyBI.

Best regards,

Hi Nauris

Thank you very much for the reply. Currently the “Severity Occurrence (Number)” are imported as a meassure, I cannot import as a dimension.

Can you adjust the filter to work on a “meassure” instead?

Best regards

Kim

Sure thing!

If it is imported as both a measure and a property, you can use a formula like this:

```auto
Sum(
  Filter(
    Descendants([Issue].CurrentMember, [Issue].[Issue]),
    Cast([Measures].[Issue Severity Occurrence (Number)] AS INTEGER) > 1
  ),
  [Measures].[Open issues]
)
```
