we manage teams/team capacity using jira and also allocate/plan teams into the future a bit.
To visualize this (which engineers still have free capacity in the next few months, so when planning a new project it is easy to see who is available when) I have a calculated Time member which goes into the future:
This works mostly, except that the months end in January 25 although I specified 9 months from now. If I take longer ranges (12 months from now etc) the months still end in January 25 (I do not hide empty column/rows).
Any help how to achieve time series that are longer would be appreciated (I am looking for 9-12 months max).
It sounds like the Time dimension members haven’t been generated for such a long period. Please follow the link to find out how to add the Time dimension members: Time dimension
You can also specify the future data ranges needed in the Source Data. Follow this link to read more: Data from Jira
thank you for the quick support, adding the date members in time fixed my problem.
I guess by default only time members for dates where jira data is available are generated on import?
If I have issues in a fix version that has a release date X, will then also time members till X be generated on import (without additional settings/adding them manually)?
