Historical data display

Hi there,

we are evaluation eazyBI to use it with Jira Service Desk and one of our tasks is to create a report on a weekly base. This shall display statuses in different categories:
e.g.
cat1 age up to 2 days
cat2 age up to 7 days
cat3 age up to 14 days etc.

Now we want to display how many tickets in status A in week 15 are in the different categories
This then shows over the time per week the change in the age structure.

Can this be done at all and if yes how would I start? I tried to create an own customfield within the advanced settings but this field does not show up anywhere. So I guess I am doing something wrong. I can recalculate a Jira calculated field using the advanced setting and that then shows up correct, so I believe I understood how to use the settings.

Thanks for any input,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for your interest in eazyBI!

There is an example report in our demo account showing average age of open issues by the end of the selected period, see https://eazybi.com/accounts/1000/cubes/Issues/reports/50084-average-age-of-open-issues.

Also Issue Age Interval dimension can be imported to group issues by age categories, example here https://eazybi.com/accounts/1000/cubes/Issues/reports/50398-unresolved-issue-age-in-time-intervals.

Both of these are based on issue creation date. If you are looking for an age defined as how long issue has been in the status, could you clarify how would you treat issues that re-enter the status? Are you looking for age in the current status since issue last entered in it?
