Incorrect values for Issue history

Hello,

I would like to create a report where one can see how many issues were in which status at the end of a week.

I tried using this example:
https://eazybi.com/accounts/1001/cubes/Issues/reports/338223-unresolved-issues-by-statuses-over-time

But I get negative values aswell as numbers bigger than 1.
I would expect each issue being counted once?

How can this be adjusted?

Thank you
Johannes

Hello @jr4,

Welcome to the eazyBI community!

The “Issue history” measure negative values or higher than 1 indicate the corrupted Jira dataset.
The possible causes for such behavior might be as follows:

  1. importing user does not have access to all issue changelog records,
    2) some statuses/priorities/etc have been renamed or removed, leading to unfinished transitions,
    3) some value changes on Jira issues were done directly into the database, bypassing Jira user interface. These changes are not recorded in issue changelog, leaving open-end transitions.
    4) corrupted eazyBI data import.

The corrective actions in each situation depend on additional factors.

The first thing to try is to empty the data cube and reimport all issues to realign data with Jira in case of failed import.
Please read more about that here - Data from Jira.

However, if that did not fix the situation - please get in touch with us directly with more details about the activities done in your Jira instance.
