I’m building 3 dashboards, each containing 5 reports. They have the same reports except for the status categories selected, e.g. on the Page criteria.
How do I avoid having 15 reports, but instead do 5… and then pass in from the dashboard each one’s selection criteria.

You may use dashboard common page selection option.
Then you may reuse those five reports in all three dashboards: change and save page filter criteria for the dashboard without changing the page selection in each particular report.
