Hi Team,

We are on JIRA cloud with EZBI. Recently we are looking for a way to share report link that can preselect page filter options. This way we don’t have to create lots of same report with filter differences.

Thanks in advance of any help.

Hi @QiZhang,

Reusing one report and just changing the page filter selection instead of creating many near-duplicate reports is definitely the right approach.

The **Copy report link** feature does not support preselecting page filter values through URL parameters (see [Copy report link](https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/analyze-and-visualize/create-reports#Createreports-Copyreportlink)). I have added this as an improvement idea to our development backlog and will update you if anything changes.

In the meantime, here are two options you could consider:

- Place the report on a [Jira dashboard](https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/publish-reports/publish-in-jira-dashboards#PublishinJiradashboards-Savefilterselections) gadget or a [Confluence page](https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/publish-reports/publish-in-confluence-pages#PublishinConfluencepages-Savereportfilterselection) and **save** the **default page selection** for that particular placement.

- Share the report using the link (URL) from the **Embed report** (see documentation [Use public access token](https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/publish-reports/use-public-access-token#Usepublicaccesstoken-AddingparameterstoURL)). You can add the `selected_pages` parameter to the embed URL to preselect a page filter value dynamically.
The drawback of this method is that anyone with this link can access the report because of the token. Please consider data security if you plan to use this method.

Thank you so much for the information, and thank you for submitting the feature request for the copy report link with filter.

We’ve tried the embed public link approach. It works well, but we don’t really want to publish internal charts for public access.
The Jira dashboard seems to be working — I can see the save button there. However, we mostly render our reports in Confluence. With the Confluence macro, changing the filter doesn’t show a save button on the page. I’m not sure if I did something wrong.

The save option is very similar, but not identical, when publishing a report on Confluence pages using the macro “eazyBI for Jira report”.

1. **Edit** the macro “eazyBI for Jira report”.
2. Choose the **Preview**.
3. Select filter values and here **Save** the selection.
4. **Save** the changes to the macro.

I agree that the Save option is too well hidden in the Confluence macro, and there is room for improvement in eazyBI.
