Seems like an easy report to build but not finding that to be the case. Really just want a simple report that shows a list of epics (I can add a filter by team and PI), but just want to see the epic’s current status and how long it was (or has been) in an “In Progress” state (in days).
You can have this skelethon for your report, adding the “Project” dimension in the Filters or “Team” or any other dimension to filter out non relevant data.
So, basically it is the add in the rows, as you want to have them listed, and selected the “All hirarchy level members” → Epic level to show at Epic level.
Then, in Columns you have the “Days in transition to give you the natural days it was stuck there”, in case you want to have the workdays, select that “Workdays in transition status”
And combined with the Transition status but selecting each status where every Epic passed through the Time selected.
At filter I added the Time, where you can have your own length, as you are talking about PIs, maybe “The Last 3 months” would be enough

You can export the definition of this report and import it into your account - this way you won’t need to rebuild it. Adjust the filters or the Issue hiearchy according to your reporting needs - Export and import report definitions
