Good afternoon, I’m creating a report in eazyBI for Jira. When I use “Logged by Team” in the Pages section, it only shows the “All Logged by Teams” option with a selection box. However, I want the report to be specific to one team, so they shouldn’t be able to select other teams. How can I achieve this?
Hello @Diana_Osorio,
Thanks for posting your question!
There are several approaches you can take to restrict team selection in eazyBI reports, depending on your security requirements:
Separate Accounts
-
Create separate eazyBI accounts for each team
-
Import only team-specific data into each account using JQL filters or set up data access roles in each ezyBI account
-
Users will only see their team’s data by default
Data Access Roles: read more in our documentation here: Data access roles
-
Create specific data access roles for each team
-
Configure role restrictions to limit access to only their team’s data
-
Users with a specific role will only see their assigned team data
-
Can be combined with report folder and dashboard restrictions
Dashboard Viewer Access
-
Create separate reports pre-filtered for each team
-
Save them on team-specific dashboards
-
Assign users “Dashboard viewer” role which prevents them from modifying filters
-
Users can only view their pre-filtered dashboard
The second approach using data access roles provides a good balance between security and manageability. You can set this up by:
-
Creating a data access role for each team
-
Configuring appropriate data restrictions
-
Assigning roles to team members
-
Applying the roles to relevant reports and dashboards
I hope this helps!
