If the Release is a customfield directly related to stories and subtasks, you might put the Release dimension on report pages and the Issue dimension on report rows.
Otherwise, please share more details about what you mean by the concept of “Release” and how the issues are related to the releases. Could the same issue be related to multiple releases?
These details would allow understanding how to identify issue relevance to release, so that only the relevant issues are displayed.
