Can chart selections update the common page filter on a dashboard?

Hi everyone,

I’m using a dashboard with a common page filter in eazyBI, and it works well for setting a global view across all reports.

However, I often find myself needing to change the filter values while exploring a specific chart Right now, I have to scroll back up to the top of the dashboard and manually update the common page filter to change the view.

Is there a way to select a value directly from within a chart and have that selection automatically update the common page filter, so that all dashboard reports refresh based on the new value?

Basically, I’m looking for a more interactive experience where selecting something in one report could sync that selection with the rest of the dashboard via the common filter. Does eazyBI support anything like this, or is there a known workaround?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Aarthi_Pillai,

Thank you for your suggestion about making dashboard interactions more dynamic! Currently, eazyBI doesn’t support the two-way interaction you’re describing. The common page filters work only in one direction - you select a filter value at the top of the dashboard, and it filters all reports that use that dimension.

I understand this would be a valuable feature for more interactive data exploration. While there’s no direct workaround for this functionality, I’ll pass your suggestion to our development team as a potential enhancement for future releases.

For now, users will need to scroll back to the top of the dashboard to change common page filter values.
