Current Month v Previous Year Same Month

I am trying to create a report that shows the Current Month in a bar chart, against the same month but the previous year.

I’ve tried using the ParallelPeriod formula from the documentation but it doesn’t display anything.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for your question!

I suggest trying one of the following options to compare the data between Current and Previous month:

  1. Select “Current month” and “Previous month” under the Time dimension to see the comparison:

  1. Or use “Add calculated” function in your report. Left click on the header of the column, choose Add calculated → Time Ago → Previous period:

You should be able to get a report similar to the one below (supposedly with more data in your report):

Your reply was nearly it.
I needed “Current month v Same Month Last Year” and I got this by selecting “Year ago” in the calculated bit
