We are using SAFE in our jira environment and we define our epics with a Epic Type custom field:
Portfolio
Feuture
Program
And the epics gets a Issue link with Is implemented by.
I wonder if its possible the display a hierarchy like this:
Epic (Type Portfolio)
Epic(Type Program)
Epic(Type Feuture)
And get progress, or do we have to create new issuetype to be able to do this ?

In this case the general recommendation would be using different issue types for each hierarchy level.
Perhaps you can implement more issue types in your Jira field and then use them to build hierarchy with relation ship between them.
