How to use a custom field with date values as a dimension for a Timeline Chart?

Hi there, I need help with eazyBI. Problem is:

I want to create a “timeline” chart using a date set in the field “Release Date”. I imported “Release Date” as a “Custom Field” using the “Source Data” settings. But it doesn’t show up as any usable dimensions. It also won’t let me import it as Dimension in the Import Data Dialogue, only as “measure, property, value changes”.

Having it as a measure doesn’t enable me to “pull” it onto the “pages”. So how do I get it there in order to make the timeline chart work?

Welcome to the eazyBI Community!
Please check if you have imported the field “Release date” as a measure. Once you import the date field as a measure, eazyBI automatically creates a relationship with that custom date and the Time dimension. You will find it under the Measures dimension called “Issues with Release Date”. Select that measure and add Time dimension in Rows and Pages (if you’d like to filter out a certain period).
