Hi there,
I’m creating a report in eazyBI to display hours logged per sprint, but I’m running into an issue where some issues are appearing with Sprint = “None”.
For one specific issue, when I check it directly in Jira, the Sprint field shows two values:
- “None”
- “Sprint 82” (which is the correct sprint)
However, in eazyBI, the issue only shows up under “None” and is not being associated with Sprint 82 in the report.
I have already reviewed the import options, refreshed the data source, and confirmed the issue’s history. Still, it shows up this way in the report.
Has anyone seen similar behavior or knows what might be causing this? Could it be related to how the Sprint is assigned or closed in Jira?
Any insights would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Diana_Osorio
Thank you for the question!
Measure “Hours spent” when used together with Sprints, shows the time logged during the time the issue was assigned to that sprint; all hours logged outside any sprint are counted to (no sprint). You can read more precisely about Hours spent used with Sprints here: Jira Software custom fields
Also, notice there are two properties showing issue sprints:
- “Issue Sprint” (singular form): shows issue’s current sprint (ongoing sprint the issue is assigned or completed sprint during which issue was resolved)
- “Issue Sprints” (plural form): shows the same information as in Jira, including sprints the issue was part of at their closing moment.
Read about field Sprint import: Jira Software custom fields
However, there could be situations in which an issue was briefly added to a sprint and then removed from it before the sprint was closed, and during that time, hours were logged for the issue. Then you would see “Hours spent” counted to that sprint, but the sprint itself won’t appear in the “Issue Sprint” or “Issue Sprints” properties.
If this does not explain the situation with your issue, please send the issue JSON to the support email so we can analyze the issue’s changelog.
Best,
