Jira issues related to Asset Objects and relationships

In our JIRA issues we have a field to an Assets Object called Employee.
The Employee Object has link to the Business Unit object. The Business Unit Object displays the Business Unit for the Employee. In the Business Unit Object it has a link to the Parent Business Unit.

So for example. Jira Issue 1, has Employee A assigned to it.
Employee A is from Business Unit = Legal, The legal Unit parent is Corporate.

What I am trying to report on is how issues have we worked on for the Legal business Unit. Also how many issues have we worked on for the Corporate Parent?

Hi,

It won’t be possible to count issues like that in reports created for “Issues” data cube reports, but you could try using the measure “Issues created” in custom calculations when creating reports for “Assets” cube imported from Assets schema.
When object attributes are imported, you could create formulas to count issues by employees have parent or parent’s parent.
But we would need to see your schema graph to check the directions of links to confirm the solution.
