Reports for Jira Software

Dear Team,

We are using Jira Cloud and have a few requirements on dashboard reports.

  • Total Sprints in projects
  • How many Sprints Completed in projects
  • In the Completed Sprints how many Stories/Sub-Tasks completed on time
  • In the Completed Sprints how many Stories/Sub-Tasks completed with delay
  • In the Completed Sprints what was Assigned Versus Completed
  • In the Completed Sprints what was Planned Versus Actual
  • How many Sprints In Progress
  • What is the current health of In Progress Sprint - How many Stories are in To Do, In progress,Completed and Blocked buckets

The above reports are required by a specific set of projects. Kindly suggest how can we implement this requirement.

Hi,

From the private mail:

You can check out eazyBI possibilities anytime by exploring the eazyBI Demo account . The samples of the most popular reports and dashboards for Sprints, Projects, Assignees, Versions, and other Jira data are gathered there. Start exploring our demo account here: Chart Types - Jira Demo - eazyBI.

The Demo account has predefined reports you can export and import into your account to see how it will work with your data. How to export, please find here: Export and import report definitions

For Total Sprints in projects - there is no clear definition between Sprints and Projects in Jira. The first thing that comes in mind is Spritn Boards - if those are clearly divided between projects (only one project using a board). Spring Dimenson has the hierarchy level “Status”; it’s possible to use that to see how many Sprints are in Closed. Please check the report to see the formula behind the “Sprints Compleade”: Sprints and story points overview for project - Issues - Jira Demo - eazyBI
The Active Sprint is also available in eazyBI; we have a measure named “Active Sprints” on the DEMO account. Please check that.

The current health of Active Sprint is similar to the report: https://eazybi.com/accounts/1000/cubes/Issues/reports/266932-project-progress. Please use Sprint dimension instead of Project in the rows and select the hierarchy level “Status”.

How many Stories/Sub-Tasks were completed on time and with delay - you can find out using the DateCompare() function to determine whether issues were delayed or on time.

To see the planned vs. Actual, please check the sprint velocity chart: Sprint velocity chart - Issues - Jira Demo - eazyBI

For Assignee, please consider using the Assignee dimension together with measures “Sprint Issues committed” and “Sprint issues at closing”, to show the Sprint Assigned versus Compleated by Assignee.

For all the reports, please use the Project dimension in the Pages to filter them later in Dashboards. More on the dashboards here: Create dashboards

Also, the Cloud DEMO account has the AI Assistant to help you with the report structure or MDX formulas AI Assistants

Our motto is “Simple things easy, complex things possible.”

Kindly,
Ilze
