Request for Documentation Optimization

Hello EazyBI Community,

Our Data Center Jira instance currently experiences a marked performance difference when various add‑ons are enabled or disabled.
Could you please share any available documentation or best‑practice guides on server‑side or user‑side optimization?

The current version

  • Data Center Jira Version: 10.3.13
  • EazyBI Version: 8.2.0

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
NextLife

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the eazyBI community.

For Jira Data Center installations, the recommended best practice to optimize performance and isolate eazyBI operations from your main Jira instance is to configure dedicated nodes for eazyBI.
What dedicated nodes do:
When you set up dedicated nodes, all CPU and memory-intensive eazyBI tasks (report execution and data imports) are executed only on these specified nodes. This ensures that:

  • User requests to eazyBI reports are proxied to the dedicated nodes

  • The eazyBI child process runs only on dedicated nodes

  • Background import jobs execute only on dedicated nodes

  • Your other Jira nodes remain free to handle regular Jira operations without performance impact from eazyBI

Setup:
You can configure dedicated nodes through the eazyBI settings page in Jira. Typically, one dedicated node is sufficient, but for large installations, you can specify multiple nodes. The dedicated node should be a regular Jira Data Center node that you designate specifically for eazyBI tasks.
For detailed setup instructions and configuration options, please refer to our documentation:
See Dedicated nodes for Data Center documentation
This approach is the most effective way to minimize the performance impact of eazyBI on your Jira Data Center environment.

Best regards,

Janis, eazyBI support
