I would like to sum the hours spent with sub-tasks by a custom field named ‘Project Reference’.
The ‘Project Reference’ field is a ScriptRunner Issue Picker field. I use this field to reference stories to an order issue for a project. Now I want to sum the hours spent in my project issue.
To specify my request further, I am attaching a screenshot. I hope this illustrates my issue more clearly.
In the screenshot, two projects are filtered by the Project Reference field. I have several stories linked with the Project Reference, and the overarching project order references itself as the project reference (see point 2).
I would like to achieve the following:
In the “Total Hours Spent by Project Reference” column (point 1), I want to display the sum of the “Hours Spent with sub-Tasks” (point 3) using a formula.
This sum should be reflected for each issue.
Ultimately, I want to see the total sum of 56.42 in the column at point 1.
Additionally, I would like to create a list showing only the Project Order Issues (point 2) with their respective sums.
I hope this clarifies my requirement. Any assistance on achieving this would be greatly appreciated.
I wanted to follow up on my previous post regarding summing the hours spent on sub-tasks by a custom field named ‘Project Reference’. I haven’t received any responses yet and I am still struggling to achieve the desired outcome.
Is this possible to achieve with eazyBI, or am I perhaps approaching this incorrectly?
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for posting your question!
Did you try switching to the Parent level from the Issue dimension? Along with the measure “Hours spent”, eazyBI will summarize all the hours spent on the Parent and the sub-task level (see screenshot below with an example)
If this doesn’t help, could you please contact us directly (support@eazybi.com), referring to this Community post and sharing your report definition (Export and import report definitions)?
