Trying to follow the values of a custom field over time (not a count)

Hello, after looking at several examples I dont understand how it works.

I have a custom field named “Impact” (0,1,2,3,4) and I wanna to follow the variation of these values over time.

“Impact” was imported as a custom field and “import changed of values” was checked.
[jira.customfield_10079]
data_type = “string”
dimension = true
separate_table = true
changes = true

I’m trying to use the “Time” dimension, but it seems that i get a “count” and not the actual value “Issue Impact” over time. I’m really confused.

I’m not quite sure of which dimension I should use or a measure ?

Thanks for your time, you guys are awesome.

Hi @toudg

To import change history for numerical measures, you need to import the custom field as a measure: Custom field import options

You can read more here about change history: Import issue change history

You can change the Advanced settings to the following ones:

[jira.customfield_10079]
data_type = "integer"
measure = true

Do a double-import for this field:

  1. In the Import options, de-select the “Impact” field from importing and run the import without this field selected (this will clear the old data and structure of the field).
  2. After the import finishes, again, select this field for import and run the import. This will import a fresh set of values for this field.

Next, in the report, you can use the measure “Impact history” from the Measures dimension.

Let me know if you need any additional assistance with this!
